Vowly Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Czech version is legally binding, and if the two versions differ, the Czech version prevails.
These terms of use govern the use of the Vowly web application available at vowly.love.
1. Service operator
Vowly is operated by:
Jáchym Hrňák
Business ID (IČO): 19476108
Address: Lužická 45, Nelahozeves 27751, Czech Republic
Email: info@vowly.love
The operator is a self-employed individual trading under a Czech trade licence and is not registered for VAT.
2. What Vowly is
Vowly is an online service for creating, managing and publishing a wedding website and for organising the wedding around it, in particular managing information for guests, RSVP responses, a photo gallery and other wedding-related content.
The service is intended primarily for personal use in connection with organising your own wedding.
3. Acceptance of these terms
By using Vowly, the user confirms that they have read and agree to these terms.
If the user does not agree to these terms, they may not use the service.
4. User account
Some features of the service may require creating a user account or signing in.
The user must provide true and up-to-date information and keep access to their account secure.
The user is responsible for activity carried out through their account unless they show that the account was misused through no fault of their own.
5. Publishing the wedding website
A wedding website is publicly available only once the user actively publishes it.
The user can unpublish their wedding website or change its content at any time using the features available in the service.
The user is responsible for the content published on their wedding website.
A published wedding website remains available for 12 months after the wedding date, after which it is no longer publicly available. We let the user know by email 30 days in advance. Further details on how data is kept and deleted are set out in the Privacy Policy.
6. Available features and limitations
The range of available features may vary depending on the current state of the service, the project settings or the selected plan.
Some features may be limited, subject to certain conditions, or available only in certain parts of the service.
The operator reserves the right to change, add, limit or discontinue features.
Some features may be available only with the paid PRO plan, which extends the basic capabilities of the service for a specific wedding website.
7. PRO plan and payments
Vowly may offer a paid PRO plan that unlocks extended features of the service.
The PRO plan includes in particular a gallery of up to 1,000 photos (20 on the free plan), additional template colour variants, guest list export, the guest form, password protection for the website and a custom website address. The current scope is listed on the pricing page.
The current price of the PRO plan is shown in the app or on the pricing page. Prices shown are final.
The PRO plan is a one-time payment unless expressly stated otherwise. It applies for as long as the wedding website is available.
Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.).
By purchasing the PRO plan, the user gets access to the extended features for the specific wedding website the payment was assigned to.
PRO features are activated once the payment has been successfully confirmed.
8. Right of withdrawal and refunds
The user may withdraw from the PRO plan contract without giving any reason within 14 days of payment.
To do so, simply email info@vowly.love, ideally from the address linked to the account. We will refund the full amount using the same payment method no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal.
After withdrawal, the wedding website returns to the free plan. Its content is kept, but PRO features are no longer available.
9. User content
The user may add their own content to the service, in particular texts, photos, guest details, RSVP-related information and other materials.
The user is responsible for all content they add, store or publish in the service.
The user declares that:
- they are entitled to use such content,
- their content does not violate the law or the rights of third parties,
- they have the appropriate authorisation to process and use the guest details they add to the service,
- the content added to the service is not unlawful, misleading, harmful or otherwise objectionable.
10. Prohibited use
The user may not use the service in a way that:
- violates the law,
- infringes the rights of third parties,
- infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights,
- involves personal data obtained without authorisation,
- involves harmful, fraudulent, harassing or otherwise objectionable content,
- is used for spam or to abuse the service,
- disrupts, overloads, circumvents or threatens the operation or security of the service,
- circumvents technical or functional limitations of the service.
11. Operator's rights
If the operator has reasonable grounds to suspect that a user is violating these terms or the law, the operator may, with or without prior notice depending on the circumstances:
- restrict access to the service or parts of it,
- temporarily suspend or block the user account,
- take the public wedding website offline,
- remove content or make it unavailable,
- stop providing the service to the user.
This does not affect the operator's right to take further legal action.
12. User's responsibility
The user is responsible in particular for:
- the accuracy of the information they add to the service,
- the content published on their wedding website,
- being entitled to use the guest details and other personal data added to the service,
- uploaded photos and other files,
- using the service in accordance with these terms and the law.
The user acknowledges that it is advisable to keep their own copies of important content and photos.
13. Operator's liability
Vowly is provided in the form in which it is currently available.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service or that it is entirely free of errors.
The operator is not liable for:
- content added by users or guests,
- damage resulting from improper use of the service,
- temporary unavailability, limitations or technical errors of the service,
- loss of data, where it occurs for reasons beyond the operator's reasonable control.
This does not affect any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by a separate document, the Privacy Policy, which is available on the service's website.
Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.), which may process personal data to the extent necessary to carry out the payment.
15. Intellectual property
The software, design, texts, graphic elements, the Vowly brand and other parts of the service, except for content added by users, are protected by intellectual property law.
Without the operator's prior consent, the service or any part of it may not be copied, modified, distributed or otherwise used commercially beyond ordinary use of the service.
16. Changes to and termination of the service
The operator reserves the right to change, limit, interrupt or discontinue the service at any time, including without prior notice where the situation requires it.
The operator also reserves the right to change these terms at any time. The new version will be published on the service's website and takes effect upon publication unless stated otherwise.
17. Complaints
If the service or the PRO plan doesn't work as it should, the user can report the defect by email to info@vowly.love. Please include which wedding it concerns and what the problem is.
We will handle the complaint without undue delay and within 30 days of receiving it at the latest. If the complaint is justified, we will fix the defect. If that isn't possible, we will offer a reasonable discount or refund the price paid.
18. Out-of-court dispute resolution
Consumers have the right to out-of-court resolution of disputes arising from this contract. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, website coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr.
